Hallo und herzlich willkommen auf der privaten Homepage von Jerry L. Middlekauff.
MY LIFE STORYorOh boy, here comes the autobiographyI have had lots of hobbies and interests during my 75 years. I have gone through the teen-age boy's interest in cars, the retired person's fascination with golf and all the other stuff in between, but now, after many years, I have narrowed my interests down to just two. They are COMPUTERS and VIDEO EDITING. So okay, I guess it's really three -- COMPUTERS, VIDEO EDITING and WRITING! And traveling. I love to TRAVEL. Okay, so now it's four. But that's it! -- FOUR interests! Positively!!! I love everything about computers (except the parts I hate). When I got my first computer, back in 19(mumble, mumble), it looked like an abacus. If there was a school I could go to, I would try to become a real computer nerd. I am still just an amateur nerd. Video EditingI get a big kick out of making watchable videos. Editing the raw video down to the good stuff, moving it around and adding a bit of sound and a voice-over and creating a video that you can, at least, force people to watch. Offering snacks, treats and a nice dinner to the viewers is also something that I've tried. WritingCreative writing of the worst kind, mine and others. Mostly mine. After all, it is my web page. TravelingIf I have to wear a coat or jacket, it's not a good vacation spot. Vacation-wear to me is a swim suit and sandals. Anything more and I might as well go to Siberia. ***** I have to revise that a bit, you know, the part about Siberia -- in 1999 we went to Europe on our own and while it was not swim suit and sandal weather, we had a great time. It was really fantastic to be in the land of our forefathers -- Nancy's in England and mine in Germany. WOW, what a trip. ***** Well, I got conned into another one. In June of 2000 we were in Australia wearing our shorts and sandals, then we went (with a tour) to Queenstown New Zealand where there was snow on the ground and it was colder than Siberia (note to self: when it's summer in U.S., it's winter in New Zealand). ***** Fool me once, fool me three times, you know how that saying goes. Well, in July of 2003 we went to Alaska. Believe me Alaska is not a shorts and sandals place either. It was fun, but it was cold. Especially when hugging a glacier or a pissed-off Eskimo. HumorThe only things here are Jokes, stories and anything else I think is funny. If you have something funny, send it to me and if I use it, I will give you the credit. No money, just the credit.
My Paintings (I found another thing I like to do) I just started painting, and being short on ideas for subject matter, I have taken to stealing some ideas directly from those artists who interest me. I hope they don't mind because I mean them no harm, they are just the ones I have chosen to copy (I even give them credit where possible). You will probably recognize most of the styles. Special, Personal Sites
